SUSPICION OF MISSING PROPERTY money, alcohol,
household belongings

SELLING POSSESSIONS clothing, CDs, gifts

PARENTS FEEL MANIPULATED youth plays parents
against each other

LEGAL PROBLEMS driving intoxicated, warnings or
tickets from police, etc.

COMING HOME DRUNK/HIGH smells of pot or alcohol,
seems unusually happy.

FINDING PARAPHERNALIA cigarette papers, pipes,
bottles of marijuna

ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR verbal or physical abuse towards
family, etc.
NOTE: One symptom alone does not necessarily mean an alcohol or drug problem exists. Several of these may indicate a pattern related to alcohol/drug abuse.
